Race Review – 7-th GT TM2 race in OMAHA

Ola fellow people!

I had a busy days this week, but today I manage to get some free time, and make a review about OMAHA GT TM2 race, driven on Sunday evening! It was a very good week of practice, and almost every minute there were few drivers driving and practicing, so it was assumed that we will have a lots of drivers on race.. And we had!!
Ten minutes before race start we had 28 driver, so we all thought that record of 23 driver will be beatan, but when red lights go off, there was „only“ 23 drivers, so record was eqauled, but not yet beaten! But, when we have 20+ drivers on race, you know that race will be fun all the time!

Aside for me and Slaven, we have 7 more „strangers“ in racing.. Ars-jebe, DarkMan and MidnightMan were driving last race too, so it was nice to see them again! We had 2 drivers from HPR clan ( Drive and Tony), and also there was Quentin43 and KeNz..
TheDome2010 is still unbeatan motherfu**er and he manage to laped every driver in race except Quentin43, and some of us even for a few laps (I manage to keep 3 laps behind )

Dome2010 get Pole with huge gap between him and Ars-jebe.. keNt had a third place, and Wessy was behind them.. At the bottom, Tina had a last place with a 7.667 sec of gap behind Dome2010..

After warmup lap, and when the lights go off, fuel tactics come on scene.. 8 drivers went for a 10 min fuel (Icke, me, Jahombre, Quentin43, HPR Drive, NH90, Morpheus and tbvivien), 9 went for a 20 min (Dome2010, Slaven, Sulfite, Quickies, CoolDriving, BlackEye, BVB, MidnightMan and HPR Tony) and rest for a 30min (Wessy, Alex, ARS-Jebe, DarkMan, K.O.Hassi and keNz)..
In „10min group“ , Icke take lead, behind me, Quentin and Jahombre, but Dome2010 in „20 min group“ was already on max speed so he pass tbviven and Morpheus by few laps.. In the „last 30 min“ group Wessy take lead in front of DarkMan, keNt and ARS-Jebe..

Soon, few drivers finish they race eariler.. BVB went out of fuel ( I assume) on lap 15, and Alex on the same lap make a huge crash of his car, lifting it in the air, and getting off the trrack ending on the roof near his fans behind the track
Next was Jahombre on lap 26, followed by CoolDriving on lap 33, Morpheus on 36, and Blackeye on lap 46.. On the last lap (!!) tbiviven go DNF too.. I assume they all went out of fuel cause they didn't end up like alex in replay..

In the end, TheDome2010 make his 7-th win in a row, so he will we best favorite for upcoming official GT TM2 Championship.. Too bad Massa wasn't on race, so that we can see how this to gigant drive against each other in this game.. But GT will start soon, so we will find out that soon enough .. Two „strangers“ get podium.. Quentin43 was most suprising driver of the night, and only driver hwo is in the same lap as Dome2010! Bronze medal go to HPR Drive, hwo start badly, but in the end go home with medal on his neck! Nice! RRR veterans Icke and Wessy take 4-th and 6-th place, and ARS-Jebe between them.. keNz was little faster than Sulfitle and Quickies so they end up on 7-th, 8-th, and 9-th place.. Me and my teammate Slaven get 11-th and 10-th place, so we need to imporve our skill if we want to do better in upcoming Championship.. Congartulations for finish race goes to HPR-Tony, NH90, MidnightMan and DarkMan too, and to only woman with Lion heart of driving – Tina! Respect!

In the end, I think this 7 „testing“ TM2 GT races went good, and turnout were nice.. It's good to see newcomers with will to drive almost one hour race! And I hope they will join us in official Chamiponship which would start in February 2012 (maybe even sooner!)..
Also I'm hoping to always see 20+ drivers at the race, but I prefer 30+

Now it's time for a litlle rest and party with our friends/girlfriends/boyfriends/wifes/relatives and who every you like to party, so TM/TM2 will need to „rest“ for a while..

7th TM2 Event in RootsOmaha Sunday 18th Dec '11

Aloha all RRR drivers&readers..
It's time to conitune with writings..

As we can all see, Trackmania 2:Canyon is out almost two months ago, and almost every RRR driver has it!
So, as TMU, they decided it to have GT races Sunday at night.. This is only "a test phase" but response is great! We can see others driver on server practicing and even participating on race, so hopely this Sunday we will see 20+ drivers, because "the more the merrirer" is in all online games!

After this "test phase" races, at the beginning of 2012 year, we will have a GT TM2 Championship, and it's already open to sign-up your team!

Now, it's 7-th GT race on TM2 for this free-for-all event, and we race on Omaha track.. I join this event on last race, hwo was very hard and long, and I had "first-touch" with the game, so my debut will not go on some historic wall In fact, Dome lapped me 3-4 times, and hwo fast he was driving near me, I thougt my car was parked sideward
But 10 days later, I manage to get some driving lessons, and know I promise that I want be lapped more than 2 times!

Now let's get back to track..


Track is quite short, and with 90 degree turns, so it's more easy to drive for lot's of new drivers.. As you can see, the PITS are right from Start/Finish line, so remember that Turn no.1. is tricky one turn, because it has small uphill, and in many cases your car can go off the track with right tyres.. Try to go wide there and than you may hace a car stability... Turn no.2. can be done without slide, because track is very wide, so no need to slide.. Turn no.3 and no.4. are very similar , so try to cut very near to the left edges and manage not to hit walls on right side when you exiting turns.. Turn no.5. is the "catch" of the track.. You come to this turn after downhill with very good speed, so it's very hard to cut turn in perfect angle.. In most of the cases (I) you end up smashing in to the wall.. But if you can get this turn good, and even make it that second 90 degree turn right after turn no.5 you will gain few seconds advantage.. Turn no.6 is just folow-up turn from turn no.5.. Here just not try not to hit walls on the left side! After that we came across for a little uphill and possible jump.. This jump can be very inconvenient for a lots of driver, cause it may lead your car to tilt to one side, making a jump hard to land properly.. When you about to jump, try not to move on left/right side while in air, so that you can jump normally.. Last turn is no.7, is 180 degree turn, and here try to be just very near curves on the inner left side..

I made a very very lucky good lap here.. I manage to get through all turns with very good speed and very good cuts , but my real lap is around 43 secs.. Dome2010 is still proving his very good driving skill here and has first local record so far on practice.. But Massa is very near, so it will be interesting to see how this thing will turned up.. In TOP 10, we also see some good TM drivers such as, Icke, Wessy, Slaven.. I'm very pleased to see Jahombre being so good in TM2 race , so looking forward to fight with him on track! Also CoolDriving and Alex showing good speed, like ARS Jebe too, who is the "best of the strangers".. Hope to see ART Racing too here, and Monty also..

Anyway, practicing is open, and there's always someone driving, so maybe on this track we will see lots of drivers on Sunday! I'm free, so count me already in!

After the Race in Marrakesh

22-th FL Race Review at Morroco

Ola RRR drivers&readers..
Last night we drove 22-th race at Morroco on very nice and smooth track! Too bad there was only 13 drivers (12 actually, because Jahombre decide to watch a race surrounded with beers and cigaretes )
Too bad that Quickess and Tina went off just before start, and that BlackEye had a connection problems.. As I can see, he always get „Invalid race time..“ problem, so he must get his network fix immediately! Also missing good drivers such Reh, Kosmic, Monty and Slaven for a even better podium fight too! But, 12 drivers had a very nice and interesting race..
Let's start from beginning..
First quali went ok, letting Massa wins first place with time below 44 seconds.. Me, RioRalle, Icke, Wessy were only few hundreds of seconds away from each other, so fight for a starting grid should be interesting..
As it always be, Massa get Pole, Tmdriver was second, RioRalle third.. Icke, me, NH90 and Wessy after that..
There were only 0.09 seconds betwen 2 and 5-th place!!
After intro lap, and when lights go off, we go into the pits.. Only RioRalle decide for 10min tactics, everyone else went for a 20/30 minutes strategy..
Of course he got lead, behind Icke and NH90 hwo were at 20min fuel strategy.. Me, Massa, TmDriver and Wessy started to get them cause we were at 30min fuel strategy..
After 10 minutes, RioRalle went into the Pit, and by that time Massa almost past Icke.. I was fighting with Tmdriver, and Wessy wasn't able to get a nice race pace on this track, so he was starting to fall behind with us..
Unfortunately BVB decide to go off, after few bumps iun a row, so he lost his patience and join Jahombre
As it race going to the end, there was one thing that we already know.. Massa will be (again, who can tell that ) first, but second place was still open! And that was a hellowa fight.. Me and TmDriver were figthing all race long, and on the last ten lap RioRalle join us for a epic ending..
Icke, Winner and Wessy were almost 30 seconds behind us, so we will be decidng hwo will be on podium too.. On lap 59/62 TmDriver made a huge mistake lifting off the curves and almost ending up on roof, so I manage to pass him and make few seconds advantage.. Also RioRalle now manage to get very near Tmdriver, so last laps they are driving „in each other“..
I manage to drove good and fast 2 last laps, and ending with silver, and RioRalle with just of 0.51 seconds of advantage, gets bronze medal!
Icke and Winner get 5 and 6 place, and NH90 7-th place.. Wessy went dark last two laps, so I don't know what happened to him.. Connection?Went off track?..
Morpheus was 8-th, but interesting duel at the end was between Hiita and Andi! Hiita had few seconds advantage over Andi, but he made a big mistake hittng the wall at turn no.3. letting Andi to pass him.. Then Hiita try to speed up, and catch Andi.. If there was only few hundred meters more track at the end of the race, maybe he would succeed, but on this track Andi wins with only 0.72 seconds ahead of him..

I the end it was a nice race, with very tensely end! As I said at the beginning, too bad that there weren't few drivers more at the track, but drivers hwo showed up, had a nice fun..

22th in Marrakesh (Marocco) 11th November 2011

 As I talked to Jahombre a couple days ago, for next season for TM/TM2 races, I can try to make all announcements of races that we will drive.. This one is test-article of how it's going to look like.. I will wrote announcement of current race, try describe a track with few tips&tricks, possible „traps“ on track, idea of fuel strategy etc.. It wan't be perfect, cause I don't drive perfect as Massa , but I'll give it try.. After race, I will wrote an article with race review and put some ScreenShoots from race..
Any critics, ideas, good&bad stuff, suggestions are all welcome from any of you, and I hope this will get positive feedback, and that drivers will enyoy reading this.. Also yours reviews after race will be good too! I hope this will be taken good amoung you, and that you will be pleased with this idea.. Also, my English isn't so perfect either, but I try to make it easy to read..

So here we go..

22-th FL Race in Marrakech
Next FL race is located in Morroco's desert, and it's very nice and simple track... No tunels, no jumps, no possible slides, just one nice and smooth track..




As you can see at pitcure Start/Finish is located at the same place when you enter the Pit.. After passing through start/finish line we come to turn no.1. .. Just go wide there before turning left, and than drove near left side of cerbs, and than you will maintain speed and wan't hit the wall..
Turn no.2. is symmetric when you go „in“ and „out“ from that.. Just keep pushing forward here, and try to be near the right edge, and you will get it wihtout hitting the wall and not need it to brake.. Turn no.3. starts when you finish turn no.2. Here try not to go to wide, cause you may hit the rifht wall, instead, immediately after you get „out“ of turn no.2. try to go near left side of curve, and then you will be able to go full throttle through that turn.. Turns no.4 & no.5 are very similiar, and here try to drove almost one centimeter near right side of the track.. Turn no.6. is a little trap, so if you don't want hit the wall, you need it to brake little here, and try to make it very close to the left side of track, because when you get out of that corner, if you aren't on racing line, you will hit the wall while watching Morrocos flag on nearest building
On turn no.7. just before CP, try to go little wide there, so you will manage to pass turn no.8. in full throttle, otherwise, you will hit the left side of the wall after exiting turn no.8.
In the end, there is only last corner before end of the track, and it's turn no.9. It's kind a tricky because if you got the speed (asuming that you manage to pass turn no.8. without mistake) you may „forget“ to brake on time, so you may hit the wall while trying to pass that turn.. Just try to remember to brake a little and be wide there too..
We drove 62 laps here, and lap is aroung 45 seconds, so duration of race will be almost 50 minutes.. So you will need fuel for 50 minutes.. 30+20 minutes (or viceversa) is here what you will need it tu fuel.. Or maybe some experience driver have some better ideas?

And gold goes to..?

If Massa will show, gold is not questionable, otherwise gold is open to everyone.. There are lots of fast drivers here ( Reh, Wessy, Winner, Icke, even Slaven , Dome, NH90..) so fight for a podium will be good! Also it will be good to see Monty too, as he is fast as hell..
I hope to see about 20 drivers, stabile connections, and one hour of nice race and enyoyable time with RRR drivers!
